Play VideoIndonesia's Mount Bromo is continuing to spew hot ash and volcanic debris. Thick smoke from the volcano's crater reached a height of up to 7-hundred meters.
Experts said heavy rainfall helped slow the spread of the volcanic ash. But the ash clouds have reached as far as the village Malang, 6.5 kilometers away from the peak of Bromo.
Local authorities have distributed 7500 face masks for residents to prevent ash inhalation.
