Al-Ahram reporter dies of wounds sustained in demonstrations

An
Egyptian journalist for flagship state daily Al-Ahram died on Friday
from injuries sustained during anti-government demonstrations on 29
January, medical sources said.

Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud was shot during the protests and taken to hospital for treatment.

It remains unclear whether Mahmoud was covering the demonstrations or taking part in them when he was injured.
