Powerful winds have pounded Beijing capital airport, damaging part of the airport's roof.
The damage caused flight delays and cancellations, prompting airport officials to launch an emergency plan. The roof has already been repaired, but a lot of travellers are still waiting to depart.

Passenger, said, "I waited here from half past 4 till now. That was 6 or 7 hours. My flight was cancelled, at first they promised a flight Saturday morning, but then it was cancelled again. Now I'am still waiting.
Chagn Jun, Deputy Manager, Airport Operations Control Center, said, "Airlines are trying their best to arrange flights for stranded passengers, and will also, promptly inform passengers about flight changes."
After the repairs were finished, some flights resumed. Airport officials say winds died down early Saturday morning, allowing more flights to take off on time.
