China shares lower in morning trade

SHANGHAI, December 15 - Chinese shares fell 0.25 percent in early trade Wednesday due to profit-taking after gains in the past two sessions, dealers said.

The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 7.33 points at 2,919.75.

The Shanghai A-share index fell 0.25 percent, or 7.69 points, to 3,057.68, while the Shenzhen A-share index lost 0.26 percent, or 3.70 points, at 1,410.33.
