Chinese shares open lower Tuesday

BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares opened lower Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.47 percent, or 13.41 points to 2,843.77.

The Shenzhen Component Index slipped 0.28 percent, or 35.00 points, to open at 12,387.78.
