A set of well-preserved dinosaur fossils was recently unearthed in West China's Chongqing city. Paleontologists say the unearthed fossils can be traced back to the Jurassic period of 150 million years ago.

They also believe that this set of fossils could be the remains of a sauropod dinosaur, the largest animal to walk the Earth during the Jurassic period. The excavation took place in the suburban area of Qijiang County in Chongqing.

The area is rich in geological resources and is home to the largest dinosaur footprint group in southwestern China.
