Three champions of a sort were named Guinness world record holders for television viewing on Monday, rising up from their couches after viewing episodes of the Kiefer Sutherland series "24" for 86 hours and 6 minutes straight.
Kevin Coon, Farris Hodo and Victor Lopez were each awarded a 10-thousand US dollar check for their show of endurance. The "24" Marathon Challenge and Fan Fest was open to the first one hundred American residents over the age of 18.
They had to sign up online and then be available from the second of December until the sixth. Their goal was to break the current record, which was set in 2009, at 86 hours.
