But, these days, with Middle-class families earning more, weddings have become huge affairs, running over a period of a week or more.
As a result, wedding exhibitions have become popular, offering everything required for the perfect Indian wedding.
'Vivaha' wedding exhibition was held in Delhi recently and showcased the latest trends in Indian wedding attire and jewelry.
In the traditional wedding set-up, the color of the bridal outfit would either be red or pink with heavy embroidery.
