The price of locally-produced meat has decreased by LE5 per kilo, currently ranging between LE52 and LE55 per kilo, with prices as low as LE35 per kilo in some governorates.
Per-kilo poultry prices have also fallen from a previous LE15 to between LE11.5 and LE12. Per-kilo prices for imported frozen meat, meanwhile, now range between LE27 and LE30, depending on type and quality.
