Mubarak defies calls to step down as protests enter day 12

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak remains determined to stay on the 12th straight day of protetsts on Saturday with no sign of an end to a confrontation which has pitted the 82-year-old leader against thousands of anti-government protesters.
